Version 1.03 30 Aug 1993 - Changed the names of the various files from GECP.* to GE2CP.* in order to emphasize their use with Galactic Empire V2.x and distinguish them from the files for the new version. - Removed the registration lock in GE2CP. You can now access all the features of GE2CP, even if you haven't registered (yet). GE3CP still requires registration for the advanced features. - Expanded target selection to allow ship "letters" other than A-Z. It now allows !"#$%&'() as well. - Made several modifications to improve support for some GE installations I specifically tested it on. Version 1.02 16 September 1992 - Added more gizmos. - Changed configuration file from GECP.DAT to GECP.CFG because of a major change in the way this file is handled internally. It is no longer a plain text file, and is quite incompatible with the old format. - Fixed a bug in the macro loading routine that would cause GECP.DAT to be overwritten with the default configuration (and registration codes erased) if the macro file, GECP.KEY, does not exist. - Made some minor tweaks to make GECP a little more compatible with various BBS's I've tested it on. - Many internal (and invisible) changes to various routines. Version 1.01 01 August 1992 - Fixed bug in communications routine that would cause a hardware overflow if the input buffer filled up. The hardware overflow would then stop all further input. VERY DANGEROUS! - Fixed bug in Sector Autopilot (Alt-A,S) routine that would cause you to fly off on some crazy heading if the length of the side of the galaxy was something other than a multiple of 5. Or was it 10? (Hey, I didn't waste time trying to figure out exactly WHEN it happened, I just made sure it WOULDN'T happen!) - Removed the useless /V: command line parameter. - Simplified the command line. No need for any extra garbage, just give it the serial port number. - Added a check to make sure that the serial port number is 1 through 4. - Added an ONLINE/offline status indicator. - Added a check to see if you are in a sector along the border of the galaxy. If you are, and the galaxy doesn't wrap, the current sector number blinks to remind you that you are near the wall. - Put some little gizmos in the empty upper-left corner of the status box. - Modified the input routine for the Sector Autopilot (Alt-A,S) so you can't enter a number that is longer than the highest sector number. This way, if you are entering a destination sector number that is the same length as the highest sector, you don't need to hit . - Made a slight improvement to the encrypted message detection code. - Fixed a (probably invisible) bug in the clock. - Improved the accuracy of the Impulse/Orbit/Repairs status. Version 1.00 11 January 1992 - First non-beta version.
